SuNMAP (Support To National Malaria Programme)
SuNMAP is DFID funded five year programme to support the National Malaria Control Programme. It operates currently in six states in the Country Kano, Lagos, Katsina, Anambra, Ogun and Niger with headquarters based in Abuja. The objectives of SuNMAP is to strengthen the delivery of the Nigeria’s National Malaria Control effort by providing technical support to improve the capacity of the National Malaria Control Programme (NMCP) at all levels. The following positions available to fill by qualified professionals for additional four States; Enugu, Kaduna, Yobe and Jigawa:
1. Operations Officer X7 (Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, Enugu, Yobe and Ogun):
The position will be based in each of the seven operating states
Responsibilities:
Providing operational support to the Technical Malaria Officer in each state, inventory and commodity management, data management for the Programme and State Ministries of Health, development of annual budget and work plans and management of consultancy assignments
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 5 years experience in development and programme support management with good organisation and management skills, excellent planning and report writing skills, excellent computer literate and good communication and negotiation skills. Previous experience in similar role and within a donor funding environment will be an added advantage.
2. Account Supervisor X7 (Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna, Niger, Enugu, Yobe and Ogun):
Responsibilities:
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing general accounting services to the State Programme officer, duty of cashier in maintaining accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance eith the programme financial procedures and policies, maintain banking relationships with programme bankers, monitor advances, xompile monthly cash forecast, implement regular reviews of internal control and provide support in maintenance of programme assests register
Qualifications:
HND or BSC Accounting with at least 5 years work experience in a similar role, good knowledge of computer and acconting software packages, strong interpersonal and management skills. Previous experience in similar role and within a donor funding environment will be an added advantage.
3. Admin Officer X4 (Jigawa, Enugu, Yobe and Kaduna)
Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to all administrative procedures and policies in the programme administrative manual, maintain an effective and efficient workflow of all activities within the programme office environment, support for logistic and personnel activities, oversee procurement and supply for personnel and supply goods and services, office equipments, vehicles and fuel management
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 5 years experience, excellent supervisor, planning and communications and interpersonal skills. MBA and previous experience in a similar duty will be an added advantage
4. Marketing Support Officer X3 (Lagos):
Responsibilities:
Providing support to the antimalarial commodity market and its key players, work with Programme Commercial Sector Partners to analyse the market and design interventions to address market constraints, monitor all market interventions through regular field visits and close work with the Senior Manager to document market information for lesson learning and decision making
Qualifications:
BSC marketing, business admin or related course with at least 3 years experience in market development, excellent communication skill and private sector understanding.
5. Long Term Technical Assistant-NMCP: abuja
Responsibilities:
Seconded to NMCP to assist the National Programme with harmony and coordination programme activities
Agree monthly work plan and deliverables with the head of NMCP and SuNMaP
Work with all stakeholders to ensure buy in to the coordination framework
Update and review stakeholders mapping documents, networks
Ensure effectiveness and continuation of Nigeria Malaria Partnership Coordination
Qualifications:
An experienced Health Professional with degree in International or Public Health is require with minimum 10 years working experience in malaria control programme, knowledge in malaria case management and general programme coordination with experience of operations in the public sector, ability to operate at enhanced level with programme partners within the donor community is essential, strong coordination and communication skills are requires for this position
TECHNICAL MALARIA MANAGER X4 (Enugu, Kaduna, Yobe and Jigawa)
Responsibilities:
Providing technical support to the State Ministry of Health and other partners engaged in malaria control effort, involved in direct implementation of projects for the control of malaria at the State, community and grassroot levels, maintain oversight of programme activities in the State, coordinating public, private sectors, civil society on site training of health workers, implementation of state based activities including malaria commodity distribution, ensure programme monitoring data are regularly collected, collated and fed back to the central programme team
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in public or international health with at least 5 years relevant work experience, malaria and general management experience and control of other diseases, previous experience in similar role and within a donor funding environment will be an added advantage.
Driver X4 (Jigawa, Abuja, Enugu and Yobe)
Responsibilities:
Ensure general safety and operating programme vehicle at all times, pick ups and other scheduled programme appointments
Qualifications:
At least 5 years driving experience with minimum of SSCE qualification, ability to write, read and speak english language is essential. Previous experience in similar environment and role will be added advantage
