MSF-F is a medical humanitarian nongovernmental organization (NGO), neutral and independent currently requires:

  1. VVF SURGEON, LOCATION: JAHUN, JIGAWA

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-         Running VVF clinics diagnosis and follow up

-         Perform VVF repairs

Requirements:

-         Nigerian registered doctor qualification is a must with surgical qualification, fellowship in surgery QR Ob/Gyn is also a must

-         Past training and experience in VVF repair

-         Interested in learning and sharing both skills and knowledge

-         Fluency in Hausa language will be an added advantage

  1. PSYCHIATRIST (PART TIME CONSULTANT, JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Provide quality psychiatric care to all patients admitted in the obstetric ward or fistula repair ward

-         Examination and treatment of all patients in the department

-         Appropriate documentation of patients status for the period spent on the ward

Requirements:

-         Nigerian registered doctor qualification and psychiatric qualification a must with at least 1 year of active clinical experience

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. DOCTOR OR NURSE ANESTHETIST (PART TIME CONSULTANT, JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Assessment and care for pain before/during/after surgical interventions

-         Provide anesthesia for patients undergoing emergency obstetrics surgical interventions and fistula surgeries

Requirements:

-         Nigerian registration as a qualified anesthetist with at least 1 year experience of active clinical experience a must

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. DOCTORS (JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Provide quality care to all patients admitted in the obstetric ward

-         Examination and treatment of all patients in these departments

-         Appropriate documentation of patients status for the period spent on the ward

Requirements:

-         Nigerian registered doctor and Gynecological/Obstetrics experience a must with at least a year experience of active clinical experience

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. MIDWIVES (JAHUN, JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Provide quality care to all patients admitted in the obstetric ward

-         Admission and examination of all patients to these departments

-         Appropriate documentation of patients status for the period spent on the ward

-         Provide intra-partum and post-partum care

Requirements:

-         Nigerian registered nurse and midwifery with at least 1 year of active clinical experience a must

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. NURSES (JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Provide quality care to all patients admitted in the obstetric ward

-         Admission and examination of all patients to these departments

-         Appropriate documentation of patients status for the period spent on the ward

-         Provide intra-partum and post-partum care

Requirements:

-         At least 1 year of active clinical experience a must

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. NURSE ASSITANTS (JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Provide quality care to all patients admitted in the obstetric or VVF ward

-         Support of the midwives or VVF Nurses in the wards daily activities

-         Perform and record routine observations according to patient status

-         Ensure the ward remain clean and hygienic in conjunction with ward cleaners

Requirements:

-         Nigerian health care qualification with minimum of 1 year active clinical experience

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Strong motivation, commitment, professional conduct with a sense of responsibility

  1. ASSISTANT HEAD OF MISSION (JAHUN JIGAWA)

Responsibilities:

-         Management of external and internal communications

-         Representation of MSF-France to outside contacts

-         Collection and analysis of information regarding security, humanitarian aid and international relations

Requirements:

-         Ability to remain calm or diplomatic during tense or difficulty situations

-         Strong knowledge of computer and internet

-         Ability to establish a strong network of relationships

-         Ability to summarize and good communication and organization skills

-         Fluent in English is a must and French will be an added advantage

  1. EPIDEMIOLOGY (ABUJA FCT)

Responsibilities:

-         Train and supervise community survey workers for ongoing surveys

-         Develop an epidemiological survey plan for the states covered by MSF-France

-         Manage the team during survey and surveillance activities

-         Lead training and educational seminars for participating passive surveillance health centers

-         Ensure quality in the indicators measured and in collation and analysis of  data

-         Monitor  and evaluate collected data

-         Lead operational designed to improve the survey methodology

Requirements:

-         Masters’ degree in public health/epidemiology/biostatistics or other related health related fields

-         Proficiency in MS office packages and statistical software packages

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

-         Willingness to travel and work in remote and insure environments

  1. EMERGENCY LOGISTICIAN (ABUJA FCT)

Responsibilities:

-         Logistics kits and tools preparation

-         Logistics explo with ER team and safety road assessment

-         General log support to the bases

Requirements:

-         Knowledge of principles of supply, electricity, construction, water, and sanitation and mechanics

-         Effectiveness in complex work environment set appropriate priorities and deal effectively with numerous simultaneous requirement

-         Familiar with spreadsheet and word processing a must

-         Familiarity with MSF practice and protocols is a plus

-         Willingness to travel and work in remote or insecure environments

-         Fluent in English language and ability to communicate in Hausa language

POLYVALENT LOGISTICIAN (ABUJA FCT)

Responsibilities:

-         Installing and setting up material and equipment for MSF programs in Abuja

-         Carry out maintenance, follow up and repair of MSF’s installation or equipment used in MSF Abuja compounds, office, stores and residences

-         Tools and equipment

-         Observation of any personnel under his supervision

-         Stock management for office supplies and logistics items

Requirements:

-         Knowledge of principles of supply, electricity, construction, water, and sanitation and mechanics with similar experience in relevant position

-         Ability to provide building and installation maintenance

-         Familiar with spreadsheet and word processing a must
