DIRECTOR GENERAL NEEDE FOR NATIONAL AGENCY FOR SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING INFRASTRUCTURE, ABUJA

RESPONSIBILITIES – responsible for governing board of the agency and will manage daily activities of the agency – provision of leadership role in research and development in emerging technologies such as advanced manufacturing technologies to foster the evolution of a viable engineering infrastructure system – liaise with national and international organisations, institututions and areas of research and development – ensure effective transfer of developed  technology to public and private sectors for effective utilisation and national development – encourage commercialisation of the research findings – and any duties assigned by the governing board of the agency or honourable minister

REQUIREMENTS: – PHD degree or its equivalent with at least 20 years of post graduate experience – degree and experience must be in mechanical, matrials, metallurgical, electrical/eletronics, chemical, production, agriultural, industrial, engineering physics, industrial chemistry, energy studies and Nanotechnology – show evidence of capaity for high academic and professional work and ability to initiate relevant researh, development, innovation of practical importance – COREN registration and membership of engineering professional bodies or equivalent will be an added advantage – evidence of good number of technical publications in reputable journals and published conferences/seminar papers – must be more than 45 years of ae

CONDITION OF SERVICE Is the same as those applicable to similar positions in Federal Government Research Institutes/agencies, colleges of agriculture and allied institutions of Nigeria
