- METAL FABRICATION SUPERVISOR
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to production manager
- Supervise and coordinate activities of workers in the metal factory, applying knowledge to layout, product design, machine function, capabilities and output, properties of metal, and strength of materials
- Analyze work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations and sequence of operations required
- Requisitions dies, fixtures and material
- Examine defective machinery to determine causes of malfunction and report needs for machine repairs
- Enforce workers adherence to work safety standards
- Train workers in operation of equipment
- Set up and operates machines to make test runs and experiemental products
- Inspects work in progress and finished products
REQUIREMENTS
- OND/HND/C&G/TRADE TEST metal fabrication
- 8 years steel fabrication experience
- Production and processing, knowledge of raw materials, quality control and other techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools including designs, uses, repair and maintenance
- Administration and management knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources
- Engineering and technology knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology
- Computer literate
- Education and training knowledge of principles and methods of curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individual and groups
- LOGISTICS ASSISTANT
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and supervise operations in raw materials and finished goods store
- Monitor materials stock levels and process LPO for materials re order
- Evaluate process materials requests
- Carry out market price surveys
- Manage freight service providers, suppliers and other vendors to ensure prompt delivery of raw materials and finished products
- Report weekly progress and constraints to the logistics and procurement manager
REQUIREMENTS
- OND in purchasing and supply
- At least 4 to 6 years hands on experience in logistics, and procurement in a manufacturing company
- Good knowledge of importation, RFI, opening of form M, LE, RAR
- Computer literate
- Ability to generate timely reports for decision making
- Excellent analytical and negotiation skills
