  1. SENIOR MONITORING AND EVALUATION ADVISOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Implementing M&E system for all project activities

-          Identify and develop data sources an develop and maintain systems for data collection and maintenance/storage

-          In coordination with the COP and US office team, prepare and update the performance monitoring plan and quarterly and annual reports and other project documents

-          Oversee the collection, analysis and annual reports and other project documents

-          Design and ensure the implementation of an internal data quality assessment system for the project

-          Ensure the timely submission of all M&E reports as specified by the client

-          Work in close collaboration with Nigeria and US based staff to design and implement rigorous impact evaluations, development of instruments and sampling plans

-          Train and mentor staff in monitoring and evaluation methods

-          Oversee and coordinate data collection for impacts evaluations

-          Present result for program achievements and outputs in written reports and at conferences and meetings

REQUIREMENTS

-          At least MSC/PHD in public health, statistics, epidemiology or related field

-          At least 8 years relevant professional experience in public health, significant experience in monitoring and evaluation health programs

-          Experience in monitoring reproductive health and family planning programs

-          At least 3 years of international project experience preferably in Nigeria

-          Experience in USAID is desired

-          Experience in conducting randomized impact evaluations is desired

-          Computer, management, organizational skills with experience with stata or SPSS highly desired

-          Strong interpersonal, communication skills, initiative and good judgment

-          Ability to anticipate and solve problems

-          Ability to independently plan and execute complex tasks while addressing daily management details and remaining organized and focused on long term deadlines and strategy
