FHI 360 C CHANGE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The communication for change C Change project is implemented by FHI360 and funded by the USAID

  1. SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (based in Abuja with 50% travel, 1 year duration with possibility for an extension)

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Under the direct supervision of the deputy chief of party

-          Provide leadership for the implementation of a  national demand creation campaign for uptake of prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT) services

-          Develop, review, revise where necessary evaluates and monitor program work plans and performance

-          Coordinate PMTCT activities with partners and stakeholders

-          Provide strategic and technical guidance to USIP and other development partners

-          Prepares and maintains communication and provide information to the DCOP/COP, FHI 360 HQ, donors, partners and other external audiences

-          Prepare project reports

-          Promotes cooperation with the Nigerian Government and other allies, partners and stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS

-          Masters degree in public health, social sciences and communications with at least 5 years experience designing and implementing social and behavior change communication program in HIV and AIDS control

-          Advanced degree in an area not listed above with at least 10 years work experience in international development particularly in SBCC for HIV prevention

-          Sound and demonstrated project management experience

-          Sound and demonstrated training skills

-          Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

-          Working experience of USAID’s performance monitoring and evaluation methodologies and indicators

  1. PROCUREMENT AND GRANTS OFFICER (ABUJA)

RESPONSIBILITIES

-          Responsible for all procurement and grant actions

-          Under the direct supervision of the chief of party

-          Manage and coordinate all local procurement actions for C Change Nigeria project activities

-          Work with program and administrative staff to determine the procurement needs of C change Nigeria on an ongoing

-          Keep an updated procurement plan that reflect timelines for solicitations, evaluations, selections, awards and delivery of products and services

-          Ensure compliance with US government regulations and tax regulations

-          In charge of office maintenance and repair needs including office vehicles, air conditioners, photocopier and other equipment and electrical and other office repairs

-          Keep an updated inventory of all office equipment and supplies

-          Supervise drivers, admin assistant

-          Assist the chief of party and program staff as applicable to prepare advance lists of procurement activities for planning efficient and timely inputs to support approved work plan activities

REQUIREMENTS

-          University degree or equivalent in accounting, business administrator or other business related fields

-          At least 3 years experience working in a similar role in USG funded project

-          Experience managing complex procurement activities

-          Ability to pre plan, ability to deal with multiple tasks, flexibility and getting critical tasks completed in a timely manner

-          Track record of being a team player

-          Strong tam building and supervisory experience

-          Strong internet and computer software skills
