POSITION: Chief database

Under the supervision of the Coordinator of State and the direction of M & E officer database will be responsible for the daily operations of data collection, data processing and sharing of data aggregated with all levels of health administration of the government and the NMCP.
He / She will be responsible for the planning, maintenance and development of organizational databases and ensure data integrity to the SDRP state offices and GSPC.
Officer of the database will be in charge of the storage, organization, presentation, use and analysis of data using any existing software and new database management, including the establishment of new databases computer or integrate data from legacy systems to new systems.
Knowledge of DHIS (1.4/2.0) and other routine and patient-based software system health information.
Regularly conducts routine tests and modifications to ensure that the database approach incorporates the following principles: (i) data remains consistent across the database, (ii) the data are clearly defined, (iii) data users access at the same time, in a form that suits their needs, (iv) it is expected that data security and recovery control (all data is retrievable in an emergency).
Ability to manage important data using MySQL / Postgre-SQL RDBMS and understand the concept of life cycle software
REQUIREMENTS FOR NGO JOBS IN NIGERIA TODAY AT FHI
Bachelors degree in Mathematics / Computer Science or a related discipline with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience or Masters with a minimum 1-3 years’ experience in the License malaria, tuberculosis, HIV / AIDS and development in a related field and experience working with NGOs and CBOs needed.
A graduate degree in a related Medical Statistics and Epidemiology discipline is an advantage.
Knowledge of Epi-Info, DHIS2, SPSS and any RDBMS.
