Job Title: Head, Internal Control and Systems

  • The latest Agricultural initiative of the Group – A Green House Farmlocated on 27ha land area containing 28 High-Tech Hydrophobic Green Houses.
  • The first of its kind in Nigeria and West Africa,it has the capacity to produce 4200 tons of various vegetables for the local and international markets.

Job Summary & Purpose

  • To provide management reasonable assurance regarding the achievement of the Hotel and Apartments and Group objectives by continually monitoring set controls and evaluating improvement opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Provide assurance services on whether the Group’s internal control and governance processes are in line with industry and regulatory practices and standards
  • Carry out due diligence and value for money review of all procurements and purchases with reference to pricing, payment and quality of products in line with set standard.
  • Review work flows, process steps and existing policies and procedures to ensure they are adequately adhered to

Qualification

  • Minimum of a first degree in Accounting or related discipline
  • Relevant professional certification e.g. ACCA, CA, CRA, IARCP, CISA etc.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a similar role with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must be vision minded, thorough and arithmetic oriented, conscientious and calculative with a high level of accuracy
  • Must be a person of integrity and ethically guided with willingness to disclose potentially illegal, criminal and unethical business practices or data
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Title: Investment Analyst

Job Summary and Purpose

  • To ensure optimal utilization of and return on investment relating to the Group’s financial resources by maintaining complete and accurate treasury and cash records, ensuring availability and adequacy of funds, monitoring the organization’s cash position and managing relationships with banking and/or other financial institutions.
  • Develop an investment strategy in collaboration with the group corporate finance and treasury officer.
  • Develop and utilise financial models and activity-based financial analysis to provide a basis for investment decisions and business planning.
  • Provide financial advice on the short, medium and long-term cash/funding and risk situation to management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a first degree in a Business-related discipline. An MBA or Master’s degree is desirable
  • Relevant professional qualification e.g. ICAN. ACCA, CFA, etc.
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong financial Analysis and financial modelling skills
  • Strong Business Development, management and presentation skills

  • The holder must be an accomplished leader and team builder with strong and consistent record of improving operational performance.
  • Has track record of demonstrated problem-solving capabilities with workout and turn-around skills enabling new business projects to be implemented. Holder must have good understanding of diverse business environments and markets.
  • All Internal Department Heads responsible for delivering the Groups mandates shall report to the COO.

Minimum Requirements/Skills Competencies

  • Must be between the ages of 35-50 with a minimum of 15 years’ experience, 5 of which should be in a Senior Management Position
  • Preferably from an Investment Banking background with exposure to various financial markets and investing mechanisms.
  • Recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Management Sciences and clearly a quality MBA would be and added advantage
  • Ability to lead, plan and manage change
  • Passion, or the willingness to become immersed in work
  • Strong organizational skills
