Job Title: Analyst, Trade Support (Supervisory)

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • To collate and analyse sales intelligence information on an on-going basis, relating to benchmarking and competitors and utilize it to provide insight to sales performance
  • Evaluates performance measured against sales target in the following areas:
    • Brand Visibility share
    • Retail Penetration
    • Trade Activities
    • Event & Sponsorship
    • Market share
  • Report and analyze Sales trends and trade activity plans
  • Collect, analyze and interpret a wide variety of Channel data from all channel layers/points and develop weekly and monthly reports to support business decisions
  • Track deployment of Trade support items to the region
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year to date (YTD) measurement report
  • Analyze best practice and provide recommendations to Trade Support Manager
  • Maintain Sales Channel members database
  • Engage the regions to follow up on implementation of Trade Support Initiative
  • Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscape.

Experience & Training
Education:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialisation; with experience working with others to include:

  • Telecoms experience would be an advantage

Training:

Job Title: Analyst, Mass Market Segment (Supervisory)

Location: Nigeria

Job Description

  • To drive Customer adoption, usage and retention for mobile financial services and manage churn intelligence information on an on-going basis, (in relation to benchmarking and competition)
  • Provide insight to MFS Segment Management.
  • Evaluate performance measured against the following areas:
    • Number of MFS transactions performed by customers
    • Identify a new opportunity/enhancement
    • Post Go- to- Market intelligence gathering and insight
    • Customer Lifecycle management.
  • Collect, analyze and interpret a wide variety of MFS data and develop weekly /monthly reports in preparation for business review meetings.
  • Engage the regions to follow up on implementation of MFS Initiatives.
  • Provide and maintain a strong and reliable database to facilitate tracking and improvement of MFS services and providing information enabling business decisions to be made.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and year to date (YTD) measurement reports.
  • Provide functional support to assigned Segment Manager
  • Develop and secure approvals for concept notes to feed into Product Development
  • Report and analyze MFS Activations, Customer Retention /Churn trends and activity plans.

Job Title: Analyst, Teen Segment (Supervisory)

Job Description

  • To implement, monitor and report on customer connection, usage and retention initiatives to drive achievement of business objectives for Teen segment of the consumer market
  • Provide relevant and up to date information to aid proper decision making with the authority limits of the Brand Manager
  • Provide input into the development of marketing plan that plays a role in effective product development, launch and quality adoption within the Teen segment
  • Monitor projects and ensure they are delivered to budget and on time.

  • Maintain and build the Teen brand through advertising, media and any other marketing means while managing relationship with key media agencies on a daily basis.
  • Execute Teen Segment growth strategy in conjunction with Product, Brands and Communication, Digital as well as Value Added Services teams
  • Manage relationship with Finance and ensure funds are available for projects in line with budget.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key teen influencers and customers
  • Provide stakeholders with relevant information needed for proper and timely evaluation of projects and plans.

Job Title: Senior Manager, Sponsorship & Promotions

Job Description

  • To provide overall strategic direction and ownership in conceptualizing, executing and management of all sponsorship, promotions and events in the Brand & Communications department in line with the overall marketing strategy
  • Support the Shareholder return strategy by developing and implementing HR Processes that are aligned to achieving all elements on the business score card. (I.e. Grow Market Share, Grow ICT & Data Revenue, Increase EBITDA margins, Assure Revenue, CAPEX Returns Management and Net Subscriber Additions).
  • Participate in the review of Business Processes (headcount, process optimisation etc.), to drive efficiency gains to ensure at least 5% reduction in Divisional budget year-on-year.
  • Serve MTNN’s customers and provide solutions to improve the customer experience.
  • Promote a sustainable organizational culture that enhances employee productivity and oversee the management of the year on year performance of all dimensions of the Group Culture Audit.
  • Drive an increase in MTNN’s Net Promoter Score
  • Strategic Partnerships with MTNN leadership team to drive awareness on expected behaviours and impact on non-compliance on bottom line results and company image/reputation.
  • Drive planned strategy for the successful delivery of MTN Group and MTNN transformation initiatives focusing on Customer centricity, including Perfect 10 Project
  • Network and build solid relationships with internal units and relevant third parties (e.g. strategic investors, technical and finance partners, business consultants etc.) and develop a close working relationship with relevant information sources to provide an integrated service.
  • Partner with MTNN’s Ecosystem Partners to deliver business value.
  • Collaborate with other business units in the development of business models for use in MTNN and develop measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and project optimization.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with agencies and partners, as well as develop and culture organic owned sponsorship properties thus eliminating royalty costs
  • Review the telecommunications market and develop Sponsorships and Events strategies across all segments to support the achievement against set business objectives for affinity, profitability, revenue, and value and market share.
  • Coordinate and supervise MTNN’s sponsorship activities in the brand & communications across all segments and evaluate sponsorship proposals.
  • Monitor external vendors, & agencies to ensure that targeted activations are cost effective and agreed deliverables.
  • Liaise with the legal division in ensuring proper negotiation and compliance to all relevant contractual agreements (MOU’s, & SLA’s),
  • Monitor & evaluate metrics to measure impact of current processes and strategy related to sponsorship, promotions, and events for the various customer segments
  • Promote a sustainable organizational culture that enhances employee productivity and oversee the management of the year on year performance of all dimensions of the Group Culture Audit.
  • Manage inter-functional relations between the unit and various departmental functions to ensure seamless synergies
  • Initiate and facilitate all sponsorship, promotions and events related to brand and communications unit.

Requirements, Experience & Training 
Education:

  • MBA is desirable

Experience:

  • Minimum 9-17 years’ experience including:
    • Manager track record of 3 years or more; with at least 3 years in relevant sector/ industry
  • Experience in developing and executing leveraging plans in a telecom/FMCG corporation
  • Proven expertise & end to end development / execution of sponsorship using the ROI/ROO matrix to achieve set objectives.
